Whitney & Atelier WMG
Hi I’m Whitney! I’m a busy mom of two, originally from Victoria BC now living in the West Island of Montreal with my family! I’ve had a career in finance for the last 15 years and a now a newfound passion for wood furniture refinishing.
I started refinishing furniture during my first maternity leave when I wanted to redo a new desk for working from home.
I’ve loved learning about different styles of furniture, different woods and techniques as well as new design ideas and mediums.
I enjoy finding something that is looking like it’s on its last legs, and giving it a whole new life. I aim to leave things wood when I can but a beautiful coat of paint can go a long way!
At Atelier WMG, we believe in protecting the environment, supporting local businesses, and championing women's rights. We're all about positive vibes and making a difference.
Bonjour, je m’appelle Whitney ! Je suis une maman très occupée de deux enfants, originaire de Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique, et je vis aujourd’hui dans l’Ouest-de-l’Île de Montréal avec ma famille ! J’ai travaillé dans la finance pendant les 15 dernières années et je me suis récemment découvert une passion pour la restauration de meubles en bois.
J’ai commencé à restaurer des meubles pendant mon premier congé de maternité, lorsque j’ai voulu réaménager un nouveau bureau pour travailler à domicile.
J'ai adoré découvrir différents styles de meubles, différents bois et techniques, ainsi que de nouvelles idées de design et de nouveaux supports.
J'aime dénicher des objets qui semblent à l'article de la mort et leur donner une toute nouvelle vie. Je m'efforce de laisser le bois à l'état naturel lorsque c'est possible, mais une belle couche de peinture peut faire toute la différence !
Chez Atelier WMG, nous croyons en la protection de l'environnement, le soutien aux entreprises locales et la défense des droits des femmes. Nous misons sur les ondes positives et voulons faire la différence.
Je suis bilingue et je serai ravi de travailler avec vous en anglais ou en français
